1:1 Business English + Career Training for future leaders
Two paths, English and careers, and most sessions mix both. Private 60-minute sessions built around where you are in your work today and where you want to be tomorrow. Online or in person in Tokyo.
Where you are in your work today, and where you want to be tomorrow.
This isn't just an English class. It's a career deep dive into who you are and what you need, built around your real work: the presentation you're giving, the meeting you're running, the role you're working towards.
Two paths
English and careers, and most sessions mix both.
English
Communicate more clearly, respond with confidence, and pick up phrases you can use at work tomorrow.
Careers
Discover your own career potential, understand strategy, and think through where you want your work to go.
On the English side, we focus on four things that shape how you come across at work: timing, words, simplicity, and awareness.
Timing
Speed, pausing, rhythm, flow.
Start without stalling, pause with purpose, and keep the conversation moving.
Words
Word choice, grammar, pronunciation.
Choose precise words, use them correctly, and say them clearly.
Simplicity
Turn complex ideas into simple ones.
Lead with your point, cut what isn’t needed, and stay clear when someone pushes back.
Awareness
Who is your audience?
Adjust what you say, and how you say it, for the person in front of you — a client, your team, or senior leadership.
What we practice
- Presentation delivery — structure, slides, Q&A
- Understanding fast, multi-speaker meetings
- Client & customer roleplay
- Pronunciation and sounding natural
- Difficult conversations — feedback, disagreement, pushing back politely
- Emails and messages that get replies
What this looks like
- On the surface: English phrases you can use at work tomorrow
- One layer down: how to think clearly and get your point across
- Further down: confidence, and a clearer sense of who you are at work
- At the core: an hour that's just for you, where you feel heard
What's included
Every session is fully customized to your needs and your situation.
A custom-built lesson, every time — designed around your goal — presentation prep, meeting comprehension, and more
Short drills, then real discussion — quick exercises on one focus area, then conversation about your actual work, with feedback throughout
A written post-session report — session notes, new words, your tricky words and corrections, feedback, and next steps
Between-session support — chat check-ins and document reviews (by plan)
The cultural layer — how directness, silence, and hierarchy read across cultures, so your English lands the way you intend
Who This Is For
This is for you if...
You work with international coworkers, overseas branches, or foreign clients. And you want to communicate and collaborate with them more effectively.
You use English at work, but some moments still feel hard. Fast meetings, presentations, small talk, or saying no politely — you want to close that gap.
You have something specific coming up. A presentation, an interview, a negotiation, a new international role — and you want to be ready for it.
You've studied English for years but rarely use it well under pressure. You want practice on the real thing, with feedback that's honest and specific.
You're already doing well and want room to grow. You want to discover your own career potential, understand strategy, and think through where your work is going.
You want a thinking partner who knows your situation. Not a rotating tutor and a textbook — someone who understands your work, your industry, and your goals.
“I can talk with Kevin like a friend, without feeling nervous — that's why it's easy to keep going. He sets a clear path each week, which makes it easier than studying on my own, and I can feel myself improving.”
“I've always wanted to improve my English, and I decided to start lessons because I've been seeing more international patients at work. Since starting, I've become much more conscious of things like pronunciation when I speak English. I really like how flexible the scheduling is, and how easy it is to ask Kevin questions whenever I'm unsure about something.”
